My passion for mental health, healing and self-advocacy has propelled me into the role of a licensed therapist. This passion led me to obtain a Master’s in Social Work degree from the University of Maryland, Baltimore School of Social Work. I have a specialization in behavioral health with experience working with teens, adults, and families.
In my work, I use a person centered approach with clients to individually address each client’s needs. I utilize techniques such as Trauma Centered Cognitive Behavioral Therapies, motivational interviewing, psychoeducation and psychodynamic therapies to address clients that present with a variety of diagnoses such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, substance use disorders, and trauma. I incorporate mindfulness techniques to enhance self awareness and to allow clients to connect with their feelings without judgement.
My main goal is to collaborate with clients in order to succeed in the very complex process of healing and provide clients with the knowledge and tools that they need to overcome life’s obstacles. Let the healing begin!
I see ages 13 and up.
