Physician Assistants

Physician Assistants are medical professionals who diagnose illness, develop and manage treatment plans, prescribe medications, and collaborate as part of a patient’s health care team. Some common clinical skills performed by PAs in psychiatry include evaluation and initiation of treatment of patients in psychiatric crisis, maintenance and management of pharmacotherapy, individual counseling, and telepsychiatry.
