I am passionate about helping people transform their lives by changing the way they think. My approach is eclectic. I cater my client’s therapy to meet their needs where they are and where they want to be.
I utilize a client center-based approach while using humor to make therapy a safe place to have my clients reach what they feel is their full potential. I believe my unique background as well as being in the military in the past allows me to work with a diversified group of clients across all socioeconomic backgrounds. My advanced training in Gestalt therapy compliments this approach by allowing clients to see the sum of the parts of who they are does not define them as a total person. I also use CBT techniques from a strength based approached to help my clients challenge their core beliefs.
My passions include trauma, addictions, boundary setting, low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, empowering women and their relationships, processing divorce, working with persons who are living with or who have survived domestic violence and life issues which clients may not feel ready to handle.
Prior to coming to Lifespan Behavioral Health Services. I worked as a Clinical Supervisor in a dual diagnosis substance abuse facility (mental health and substance abuse). My other experiences include private practice , working within an inpatient facility and teaching at the college level.
