Minjee Kim earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from St. Mary’s College of Maryland and her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Johns Hopkins University. For the past two years, she has been working with individuals, couples/families, and groups in various settings, including non-profit and private practices.
Minjee utilizes Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Multicultural/Feminist Therapy to help clients reach their goals; oftentimes, she explores thought and behavioral patterns, as well as cultural identities to gain more insight and self-awareness. Through these evidence-based integrative approaches, she supports her clients in their journey to overcoming their mental health challenges and/or life adjustments. She focuses on strength and empowerment, and she often incorporates creative interventions (ex. art; music).
Using multicultural interventions, Minjee collaborates with her clients to create a culturally sensitive environment to meet each unique need. Her goal is to create a safe and welcoming space for everyone.
