Amy has a passion for helping others in their most vulnerable moments, and takes pride in her ability to quickly build rapport. She is down-to-earth which makes her relatable and easy to talk to. Her goal is to provide a safe environment for processing, problem solving, and change, beginning at the first session. She takes a strengths-based approach to treatment, providing compassion and encouragement in order to promote personal growth and empowerment. Amy is familiar with the common approaches to treatment, but uses an eclectic approach, primarily of CBT and Solution Focused in her practice. Her background includes child protection/foster care, counseling teens in an emergency shelter, working as a therapist and then Clinical Supervisor at a residential treatment center, residential treatment curriculum development, and private practice. Amy accepts patients age 13 to adult.
